LANA M. ACKAWAY is in private practice in Manhattan for over 27 years. She is a co-founder of Heart To Heart, a high-quality professional consultation service for consumers who have not accessed or have had prior unsatisfactory experiences with psychotherapy or other mental health services. She works with clients with issues of abuse/neglect, core losses, post-traumatic stressors and resistance to change, helping them effectively manage transitions and major change, e.g., work/career motivation, self-esteem and clear communication. Many clients have resolved personal emotional conflicts and gained the ability to maintain commitment and decision making abilities in love and work. Ms. Ackaway does home visits for clients unable to get to her office.
